Iveta Kovarik is a New York City jewelry designer.
Her works have been worn by artists such as Paula Cole.
Iveta Kovarik has been in business several years,
her design company forming out of the passion of
creating unusually creative art. Czech born, Manhattan raised
Iveta posseses a natural talent for art. Well traveled, living
abroad, design background in fashion design adds only a
shimmer of influence to her magnificent designs. Perhaps her
hard-edged and deconstructed style is influenced by her urban
surroundings, while her rippled and organic forms come from
impressions of nature. Whatever original collections she creates
are drawn from perhaps deeper influences. She cannot explain
why one collection looks like she has experienced the long ago
days of Egypt, stix and bonz, the unforseen future, herculean, the
dark, corseted heart, the medieval flare of stones and pearls. Yet the
designs bring a past forward into pieces that are extremely modern for
today. Major stores such as Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Henri Bendels
and Felissimo have carried her collections. She also has sold in fine
boutiques/galleries all over the country. Add (soho/nyc), Antique
Boutique (nyc), Deering Gallery (cleveland), Tahari, Chepita (aspen),
Wave Gallery (westport, ct), Itchy Fingers (portland, or). The stars of movie,
music and newscasters wear pieces designed by Iveta. Paula Cole,
singer, songwriter, wore her favorite for the Lilith Fair on Sessions (nat'l tv).
Iveta's pieces are of great quality and each item is signed. She hand
carves original designs in wax to be cast in precious sterling silver.
All work, including casting, is done in the USA. A lot of sterling is in each
design, giving the creations a nice, heavy weight to them. She then
hand finishes each piece in various techniques for a shiny, oxidized, or
matte look. We all at IKnyc know you will enjoy wearing your specially designed jewelry.
